652 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a laneway (details supplied) in Dublin 7 is a source of anti-social or criminal activity; and if the Garda authorities have any recommendation for the local authority regarding its closure or otherwise. [15271/03]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the laneway in question has been the scene of some anti-social behaviour in the past. I understand that the question of access to the laneway has been discussed at a meeting of Dublin City Council, during which a Garda representative addressed the council.
