I inform the Deputy that the total expenditure by my Department on public relations in 2002 was €115,801.99. In that regard, I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 312 which was answered on 12 February 2003.

As the Deputy will be aware, my Department is responsible for a wide range of matters, including matters such as the promotion of equality in our society, campaigns to combat racism and violence against women, matters in relation to dis ability, safe use of the Internet, child care and immigration. This expenditure relates to the work of my Department and the associated agencies within my Department's Vote, but does not include any material in relation to the courts, the Garda Síochána, prisons or Land Registry and Registry of Deeds.
