Vol. 568 No. 3

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

128 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kildare has been informed that they do not qualify for unemployment benefit notwithstanding the seasonality of their work; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16306/03]

The person concerned does not have a claim for unemployment benefit or assistance at this time. She claimed and was paid unemployment benefit from 14 April 2003 to 26 April 2003. If the person concerned is unemployed, she should apply for unemployment benefit-assistance at her local social welfare office. Any claim made will be examined and she will be notified of the outcome.
