Question:

293 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current number of staff, broken down by grade, employed in the press office in respect of his office and the office of each Minister of State within his Department; the current amount paid in respect of each office in terms of salary, overtime and expenses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17145/03]

The current number of staff assigned to the press office in my Department is four. This comprises one principal officer, one assistant principal, one higher executive officer and one clerical officer. The principal officer also has responsibility for other duties within the Department.

The current amount paid in respect of salary, overtime and expenses for press office staff since the current Ministers' terms of office commenced is set out in the following table.
