86 Mr. Cregan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve an increase in the allocation to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to enable it to carry out work to the windows of same during the summer period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17282/03]
The school to which the Deputy refers has not applied to my Department for capital funding to carry out exterior works to its windows. Given the scale of the capital programme for 2003 and the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, my Department does not envisage that it will be in a position during this year to include any further projects on the programme. In the event of the school making the appropriate application to my Department, the matter will be considered in the context of the capital programme for 2004.
