Question:

374 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of family reunifications that have been allowed to occur for immigrants granted residency status here; and the number of applications that have not been considered favourably. [17515/03]

Under section 18 of the Refugee Act 1996 a person who has been granted refugee status may apply to the Minister for permission to be granted to a member of his or her family to enter and reside in the State. The numbers of such family reunification applications which have been approved and refused are set out in the following table.
