Vol. 569 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

95 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Health and Children if the Government has received a request from the general secretary of the ICTU, Mr. David Begg, for a meeting to discuss current problems in the health service; if so, if it is intended to agree to the request for a meeting; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12778/03]

I met the ICTU on Monday, 12 May 2003 to discuss issues relating to the provision of hospital services, particularly in the eastern region. The Secretary General of my Department had a further meeting with the ICTU on Friday, 30 May and I hope to meet the ICTU again in the near future to review the position on the matters raised.

Question No. 96 answered with Question No. 89.
