Vol. 569 No. 3

Written Answers. - Milk Quota.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

180 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position regarding a milk quota appeal by a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [17634/03]

The allocation of the balance of the Agenda 2000 milk quota to certain categories of small and medium scale milk producers has been completed and applicants have been notified of the outcome in their own cases. An appeals system operated in relation to this scheme and the appeals were considered by the milk quota appeals tribunal. The person named submitted an application and subsequently appealed. As the conditions of the scheme were not satisfied in this case, an allocation could not be made.
