38 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science his views on the report of the committee on educational disadvantage; if it is intended to implement the recommendations of the report, including the making of an additional payment of up to ?5,000 per annum for teachers working in disadvantaged areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21510/03]

The report on teacher supply and staffing in disadvantaged settings, which was submitted to me by the statutory Educational Disadvantage Committee, is under consideration at present.
