Question:

500 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the cost to the State of providing transport expenses to each individual Minister of State since the formation of the Government. [22950/03]

The cost to the State of providing transport to each Minister of State since the formation of the present Government including mileage, inland air fares, drivers' salaries and subsistence, was €44,329 for the Minister of State, Deputy Noel Ahern, and €100,605 for the Minister of State, Deputy Gallagher. The individual details are set out in the following table:
