Question:

508 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the names of organisations or bodies, other than recognised trade unions, which represent or promote the interests of, or provide research or other support facilities for county managers or local authority managers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23027/03]

The Local Government Management Services Board, which was established in 1997, provides support services for the County and City Managers Association, which is the organisation through which local authority managers function collectively.
