Question:

429 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children when funding will be granted to the NWHB for the renal dialysis unit at Sligo General Hospital; if the money will be allocated; the amount of funding that will be put in place and the timescale involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is aware that the provision of a new renal dialysis unit at the hospital is a priority for the board. A submission on this development has recently been received from the board and is being considered by my Department in the context of the board's overall capital needs and in line with funding resources available for the health services.
