Vol. 573 No. 3

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Michael Noonan

Question:

446 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received correspondence from the parents of a person (details supplied) who is in urgent need of full-time residential care at Lisnagry, Limerick; if arrangements will be made to provide the person with the necessary place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25056/03]

I wish to confirm for the Deputy that my Department has received the correspondence mentioned. The provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Limerick region rests with the Mid-Western Health Board. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
