Vol. 573 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Willie Penrose

Question:

489 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be immediately admitted to Navan Hospital, County Meath, to have a hip operation carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25372/03]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
