Vol. 573 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

134 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if respite care will continue to be given to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who suffers from Alzheimer's in order that the person's daughter can continue to look after the person at home. [25919/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, responsibility for the provision of health services in the Dublin 12 area rests with the South Western Area Health Board acting under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
