Vol. 573 No. 5

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Tony Gregory

Question:

145 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children the facilities, including workshop and social programmes, available in Dublin city for young autistic adults; if there is assistance his Department can give to persons (details supplied) to find a suitable placement for their autistic adult son; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25970/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services for persons with autism and those with an intellectual disability in the Dublin region rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
