209 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Defence if a person (details supplied) in County Clare who served in the Army from September 1940 to 1945 is entitled to a pension and other entitlements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26200/03]

Minister for Defence (Mr. M. Smith):

On the basis of the information supplied by the Deputy, the person in question does not have sufficient service to qualify for a pension under the Defence Forces pension schemes.
