Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department has identified areas where there is a large shortfall in day care provision; if he has information available to him on the waiting time or availability of day care in different parts of the country; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that in area 8 of the Northern Area Health Board, there is a serious crisis in the availability of day care for older people who face a waiting list of over two years, that results in severe pressure on families who try to provide full-time care.
