Vol. 576 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Accommodation.

John Deasy

Question:

168 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children if Irish citizens living abroad with a residence here who are in need of dialysis treatment will be accommodated in hospitals in order that they can visit their homes here at intervals; and if, in particular, he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) who is having great difficulty in obtaining such treatment at Waterford Regional Hospital. [29472/03]

The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
