91 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the research of the Consumer Liaison Panel on food labelling and the origin of meat has been completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29202/03]
Among the recommendations made by the food labelling group was a proposal that further research was necessary to establish consumers wishes on the issue of origin of meat. At my request the consumer liaison panel drew up a strategy for this research and has commissioned same. The research will shortly be completed and we expect to receive the report in the next month or so.
