147 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will take steps to keep Liberties College, Bull Alley, Dublin 8, open for secondary school as well as adult education use, in view of the growing population of young people in the area. [29392/03]

My Department was recently made aware on an informal basis that the City of Dublin VEC has decided to discontinue second level provision in the Liberties College, Bull Alley, Dublin 8. My Department is in communication with the VEC with regard to the implications of this decision.
