Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

180 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food further to Parliamentary Question No. 97 of 8 October 2003, the progress which has been made since to rectify tuberculosis problems that a number of herd owners are experiencing at a location (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29648/03]

As stated in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 97 of 8 October 2003, the proposed survey and sampling of badgers was conducted under licence in mid November last and a number of badgers have been sent for post mortem examination. The results of these examinations are not yet available and the findings will be taken into account in determining the policy to be adopted in this area.
