Question:434 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the position in relation to approval and funding for the upgrading of the Bandon sewerage scheme. [30066/03]
Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
The Bandon sewerage scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme 2003-2005 as a scheme to commence construction in 2004, at an estimated cost of €13.7 million. My Department is currently examining the water services pricing report associated with the preliminary report for the scheme, as submitted by Cork County Council, together with the council's brief for the appointment of a consultant for the design and construction phase. Both matters will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
