160 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of workers from overseas who have been attracted to employment here in each of the past three years, other than returning emigrants; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30129/03]

The number of work permits, work authorisations and working visas issued by my Department in respect immigrant workers for the past three years is as follows:

161 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of applications for work permits received and granted on a monthly basis in the past 12 months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30130/03]

Statistical information on work permits is not maintained by my Department on work permit applications received but is available in respect of work permits issued. These statistics are available on the work permits page of my Department's website at http://www.entemp.ie I have arranged to have the Deputy supplied with the information requested.
