Vol. 576 No. 6

Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

229 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Transport if he will arrange an early meeting between Aer Lingus management and the Retired Aviation Staff Association and officials from his Department in order to progress outstanding issues relating to pensions in Aer Lingus; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30251/03]

As a result of a recent meeting between RASA and officials from my Department and the Department of the Taoiseach, Aer Lingus was requested by my Department to meet with RASA to discuss its concerns. The company has agreed to that meeting and my Department is liaising with both parties to arrange the meeting at a mutually convenient date in the near future.
