Vol. 576 No. 6

Written Answers. - Light Rail Project.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

25 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Finance the progress of his consideration of the report commissioned from a company (details supplied) into a number of issues arising from the proposed city centre to Dublin Airport metro; the main findings of the study; if it is intended to publish the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30108/03]

My Department engaged Goodbody Economic Consultants to undertake a study of a number of issues arising on the proposed construction of a metro from Dublin city centre to the airport. A report has been received, and some further work is being done by the consultant which should be completed shortly. I do not propose to publish the report in advance of consideration by the Government of whether or not to proceed with the construction of the metro.
