53 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Finance if his Department compiles statistics in regard to the value to the Exchequer of the film, television and drama industry here; if so, the amount accrued to the Exchequer by this industry for each year over the past five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy):

My Department does not compile the statistics sought by the Deputy. The value of the film, television and drama industry and the return claimed to accrue to the Exchequer have been the subject of a number of consultants reports, some of which have been published, and I would refer the Deputy to these.
