It is normal practice for a briefing to be provided to EU member and accession states following an official visit to a member state by a head of state or government. Following the visit of the President of the United States to the United Kingdom, a briefing was provided on 21 November 2003 by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which was attended by the Irish Ambassador.
