Vol. 577 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grocery Industry.

Johnny Brady

Question:

104 Mr. J. Brady asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if a company (details supplied) which is selling cheap imported private label milk for ?1.01 per two litres is in contravention of the Groceries Order which bans below cost selling. [31453/03]

Responsibility for the enforcement of the Groceries Order lies with the Director of Consumer Affairs.

I understand that the director has investigated a complaint concerning the below cost selling of milk and is currently considering what further action to take.
