Vol. 577 No. 4

Written Answers. - General Medical Services Scheme.

Jack Wall

Question:

228 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the appointment of a general medical services doctor for Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31450/03]

Arrangements for the provision of services to medical card holders, including the appointment of a general medical services doctor, is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
