203 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the status of the Fanad water scheme, County Donegal; when moneys will be available for the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31918/03]
The Fanad water supply scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2003-2005 at an estimated total cost of €8.1 million. Additional information requested from Donegal County Council regarding the council's tender report in respect of phase 1 of the scheme was received in my Department in November and is under consideration. The preliminary report for phase 2 of the scheme is also under consideration in the Department and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

An updated water services pricing report requested by my Department in October 2003 is awaited from Donegal County Council.
