90 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to an application for a full time classroom assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31806/03]
My Department recently issued a letter to the school confirming an allocation of 12.5 hours per week special needs assistant support for the pupil in question. The matter was appealed by the school authorities and arrangements were made to have the case re-examined by the National Educational Psychological Service – NEPS. The case has now been reviewed by NEPS and further contact will be made with the school shortly.
