I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: given that 1 December is the deadline for landlords to register with the Private Residential Tenancies Board, the necessity for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to address the fact that only a small percentage of landlords have registered and that tenants whose landlords have failed to register will not have access to the new dispute resolution services; the necessity for the full rigours of the law to be applied to landlords who evade registration and the necessity for the Minister to outline what measures will be taken to ensure full compliance by landlords with the law.
