Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gilmore — the case of a constituent who is suffering from vCJD in a Dublin hospital; (2) Deputy Pat Breen — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to take steps to reduce class sizes in primary schools throughout County Clare; (3) Deputy Sargent — that the Minister for Education and Science to change Government policy which is resulting in special needs education teaching posts being filled by unrecognised and untrained personnel; (4) Deputy McGinley — the need to address the crisis in Letterkenny General Hospital caused by the shortage of beds and other necessary facilities; (5) Deputy Cuffe — the need for the Minister to address the difficulties facing small food producers, particularly those of a regulatory nature; (6) Deputy Costello — to inquire into the action the Department of Education and Science intends to take regarding widespread school absenteeism; and (7) Deputy Broughan — the need to order an inquiry into complaints made by a citizen (details supplied) on which the Garda Complaints Board and Garda Commissioner have yet to report.

The matters raised by Deputies McGinley, Pat Breen, Sargent and Costello have been selected for discussion.
