I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe McHugh — to ask the Minister for Education and Science if he will say why the Department is refusing to make a decision regarding a student (details supplied) and also, despite three letters having been sent seeking clarification, the school has yet to receive any acknowledgement from the Department; (2) Deputy Olwyn Enright — the policy on the provision of day care services in Laois-Offaly; (3) Deputy Liz McManus — the need to support two quadraplegics; (4) Deputy Noel J. Coonan — the plans in place to provide alternative employment for the employees of a former factory in Thurles, County Tipperary; (5) Deputy Joe Costello — the need to provide an inspection regime in relation to military aircraft using Irish airspace; and (6) Deputy Joan Burton — the loss of up to 50 high-tech jobs from Creative Labs in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
