Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Leo Varadkar — the provision of a primary health care centre in Corduff, Dublin 15; (2) Deputy Joe Costello — the banning of "happy pills" and the disposal of the existing supply of these pills; (3) Deputy Michael D. Higgins — the current situation in Sri Lanka; (4) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan — the survival of SR Technics and the plans to secure a successor industry; (5) Deputy John O'Mahony — the urgent need to sanction the wastewater treatment plant for a sewerage scheme in Kiltimagh, County Mayo; (6) Deputies Michael Ring and Jimmy Deenihan — the centralisation of the medical card process; (7) Deputy Paul Connaughton — the awarding of medical cards to those over 70 years of age; (8) Deputy Tom Sheahan — the issues facing fisherman in west Kerry; (9) Deputy Dinny McGinley — an cinneadh atá déanta ag Largo Foods-Bia Ghaoth Dobhair idir 123 agus 170 oibrí a ligint chun bealaigh agus an géar-ghá atá le malairt fostaíochta a chur ar fáil chomh luath agus is féidir; (10) Deputy John Perry — to ask the Minister for Health and Children: the HSE has announced the establishment of a transition team of administrative staff to arrange the transfer of breast cancer services from Sligo to Galway; the local press has confirmed that the oncology consultants are refusing to co-operate with the transfer; and the Minister must address the serious concerns of local people about this situation; (11) Deputy Dan Neville — palliative care-hospice support unit, St. Ita's Community Hospital, Newcastle West, County Limerick; (12) and Deputy James Bannon — the need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to explain why application forms for funding under the lottery sports grants for 2009 are not yet available and when he envisages such grants will be paid;

The matters raised by Deputies Michael Ring and Jimmy Deenihan, Paul Connaughton, Michael D. Higgins and Tom Sheahan have been selected for discussion.
