Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Joe Carey, Kieran O'Donnell, Pat Breen, Michael McNamara and Patrick O'Donovan - the HIQA report into the University Hospital Limerick; (2) Deputy Terence Flanagan - the need for tree height legislation to be introduced to protect the right to light; (3) Deputy Jerry Buttimer - the need to take action to grow passenger numbers and increase route options at Cork Airport; (4) Deputy Seán Crowe - the reduction in places on the VTOS programme in St. Dominic's, Tallaght; (5) Deputy James Bannon - the need to review the decision to end one of the ASD classes in St. Mary's national school, Edgeworthstown, County Longford; (6) Deputy Brian Stanley - the services for autistic children in County Laois; (7) Deputy Sean Fleming - the waiting list of at least two and a half years for people waiting for a hearing aid; (8) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the need to address concerns surrounding safety issues in emergency departments in hospitals here; (9) Deputy Seán Kyne - the position regarding young farmers who have missed out on previous installation aid schemes; (10) Deputy Paul J. Connaughton - the issues faced by young farmers who could not avail of installation aid; (11) Deputy John O'Mahony - the need for extra accommodation at Gort Sceiche national school, Hollymount, County Mayo; (12) Deputy Shane Ross - the way in which the Minister will vote at the Allied Irish Banks annual general meeting; (13) Deputy Clare Daly - the implications of the Cooke report in respect of Garda oversight; (14) Deputy Mick Wallace - the findings of the Cooke report; and (15) Deputy Ciara Conway - the need for an update on the children's referendum.

The matters raised by Deputies Joe Carey, Kieran O'Donnell, Pat Breen, Michael McNamara and Patrick O'Donovan; Billy Kelleher; and Seán Crowe have been selected for discussion.
