Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Marian Harkin - to discuss a new school for Gaelscoil Chluainín, Manorhamilton, County Leitrim; (2) Deputy Alan Farrell - to discuss the need for the development of a further education and training facility in Swords, County Dublin; (3) Deputies Éamon Ó Cuív and Mairéad Farrell - to discuss remedial work on a bridge near Kylemore Abbey on the N59 to stop flooding; (4) Deputies Michael Collins, Mattie McGrath, Holly Cairns and Christopher O'Sullivan - to discuss the closure of early intervention classes nationwide and Kilbrittain National School; (5) Deputy Jennifer Carroll MacNeill - to discuss the third national strategy on domestic, sexual and gender-based violence following the opening of public consultation recently; (6) Deputy David Stanton - to discuss recognition of Carrigtwohill and Midleton in County Cork as a single education centre for school transport purposes; (7) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss the delay in establishing children's network teams in Cork and subsequent delays in child assessment and therapies; (8) Deputy Maurice Quinlivan - to discuss progress to address overcrowding at numerous Irish hospitals; (9) Deputy Niamh Smyth - to discuss procedures for children's school absences of more than 20 days due to Covid-19; (10) Deputy Dessie Ellis - to discuss extra Garda resources to combat the escalation in drug and gang-related violence in Finglas; (11) Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin - to discuss access to early childhood education and childcare in Dublin Bay North; (12) Deputy Denis Naughten - to discuss the need to take decisive steps to improve mobile telephone coverage in rural areas for individuals, business and emergency services; (13) Deputy Joan Collins - to discuss the proposed deal on the national maternity hospital; (14) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss school places for children with autism; (15) Deputy Brendan Griffin - to discuss the threat to Ireland’s energy security following the invasion of Ukraine; (16) Deputy Paul McAuliffe - to discuss the better energy warmer homes scheme run through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland; (17) Deputy Martin Browne - to discuss the services available for children with avoidant restrictive food intake disorder and when it will be included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition, DSM-5, criteria for eating disorders and (18) Deputy Matt Carthy - to debate the progress made on the implementation of the working paper to address challenges related to peat supply.

The matters raised by Deputy Ellis, Deputy Alan Farrell, Deputy McAuliffe and Deputy Naughten have been selected for discussion.
