Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case:

Deputy Michael Moynihan - to discuss the future of the courthouse building and complex in Kanturk, County Cork.

Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - to discuss the introduction of statutory timelines for An Bord Pleanála to deal with appeals.

Deputy Marc MacSharry - to discuss the need to introduce a tax-free allowance for landlords on the first €800 in rent received to bring balance to the market.

Deputy Aindrias Moynihan - to discuss the need to advance a wastewater treatment plant in Crossbarry, County Cork.

Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan - to discuss whether the school transport review will facilitate children in September 2023 who cannot gain access to their nearest schools.

Deputy Neasa Hourigan - to discuss ongoing maternity hospital restrictions.

Deputy Louise O'Reilly - to discuss the case of a group of four workers who were dismissed in Limerick.

Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - to discuss the publication of the report on the study on familicide and domestic homicide reviews.

Deputy Brian Stanley - to discuss the need to enable local authorities to implement CCTV schemes for the surveillance of illegal dumping.

Deputy Maurice Quinlivan - to discuss ongoing delays in the creation of the mental health 24-7 de-escalation unit, or community access support team, that is due to be trialled in Limerick.

Deputy David Stanton - to discuss the need to proceed with construction of the Mallow relief road project in County Cork.

Deputy Mattie McGrath - to discuss St Patrick's Hospital, Cashel, and challenges regarding parking spaces.

Deputy Thomas Gould - to discuss the provision of GP services in Blarney and St. Mary’s primary care centre.

Deputy Barry Cowen - to discuss the need to support the employees impacted by the closure of Derrinlough briquette factory.

Deputy Joe McHugh - to discuss potential low-interest bridging loans to address working capital difficulties for mica-affected homeowners, contractors and suppliers.

Deputy Martin Browne - to discuss the future development of the community nursing unit at St. Patrick's Hospital, Cashel.

Deputy Chris Andrews - to discuss the difficulties faced by sports groups in drawing down their allocation from the sports capital programme.

Deputy Ruairí Ó Murchú - to discuss public liability insurance costs and the effect they are having on the tourism and related sectors.

The matters raised by Deputies Barry Cowen, Thomas Gould, Neasa Hourigan and David Stanton have been selected for discussion.
