Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case:

Deputy Marc MacSharry - to discuss whether the Minister reaffirms the Government commitment to upgrade the N17 national primary route in line with Government policy as set out in the national planning framework and Ireland 2040.

Deputy Dessie Ellis - to discuss the recent local authority tenancy rule change whereby married couples both require ten years' tenancy in order to avail of the tenant purchase scheme.

Deputy Frankie Feighan - to discuss planning and progress on the Sligo, Leitrim and northern counties railway greenway to enhance the infrastructure of the North-West region.

Deputy Chris Andrews - to discuss the recently released review of the sports capital programme.

Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív - to discuss the need to progress discussions on the mountain access scheme and ensure that farmers are fully involved.

Deputy David Stanton - to discuss the need to open the north Cork chronic disease management hub as a matter of urgency.

Deputy Robert Troy - to discuss delays in the processing of applications to the atypical working scheme and other visa applications.

The matters raised by Deputies Robert Troy, David Stanton, Dessie Ellis and Éamon Ó Cuív have been selected for discussion.

I wish to alert people that Topical Issues will be taken immediately after the debate on the Public Health (Tobacco and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Bill 2023.
