I must now deal with a deferred division relating to amendment No. 1, in the name of Deputy Carthy, to the motion regarding proposed approval by Dáil Éireann of Ireland's participation in four European Defence Agency projects. Last Thursday, on the question, "That the amendment to the motion be made", a division was claimed. In accordance with Standing Order 80(2), that division must be taken now.

The following motion was moved by the Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Peter Burke, on Thursday, 6 June 2023:
That Dáil Éireann approves Ireland's participation in four European Defence Agency Projects:
i) Category B Collaborative Procurement of Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Equipment,
ii) Category B Collaborative Procurement of Soldier Equipment,
iii) Category B Collaborative Procurement of Ammunition, and
iv) Category A Military Computer Emergency Response Team Operational Network (MICNET), pursuant to section 2 of the Defence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009.
