Scrutiny of EU Legislative Proposals

COM (2011) 479 is a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and the Council amending Council Regulation (EC) 1967/2006 concerning management measures for the sustainable exploitation of fishery resources in the Mediterranean. The lead Department is the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2011) 481 is a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and the Council amending Council Regulation (EC) 1698/2005 concerning certain provisions relating to financial management for certain member states experiencing or threatened with serious difficulties with respect to their financial stability. The lead Department is the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The other Departments concerned are the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny, but is it agreed that we write to the Department as outlined by Deputy Ó Cuív? Agreed.

COM (2011) 525 is a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and the Council amending Regulation (EC) 1760/2000 concerning the electronic identification of bovine animals and deleting the provisions on voluntary beef labelling. The lead Department is the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. COM (2011) 524 is a proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and the Council amending Council Directive 64/432/EEC concerning computer databases which are part of the surveillance networks in member states. The lead Department is the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. It is proposed that these proposals do not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
