I received a telephone call from the Chairman to say he had been detained. His mother has had a slight accident and is in the accident and emergency department having a cast put on her wrist. As we know the state of accident and emergency departments in our hospitals, we do not know how long it will take. I told him to take as much time as he needed.

With regard to timing and questions, if a member has a follow-on question to one put by another member, is he or she allowed to ask it, even if it is not within the two-minute slot?
There is a timetable. We are allocating ten minutes to the two party spokespersons. We want to facilitate as many members as possible in concentrating on questions and listening to the answers.
