At the request of the broadcasting service, members are requested to either switch off their mobile phones completely or to put them on flight or safe mode. If one puts one's phone into flight mode, one is not obliged to switch it off. In accordance with the standard procedures agreed by the Committee on Procedure and Privileges for paperless committees, all documentation for this meeting - including a paper on school amalgamation prepared by the Library and Research Service and a policy brief prepared by the clerk - was circulated to members on the documents database. We will now go into private session to deal with the minutes of our previous meeting and other matters.
