Business of Joint Committee.

Apologies have been received from Deputies Howlin and Lynch and Senators Coghlan and Hanafin. The minutes of the 1 June 2005 meeting have been circulated. Are the minutes agreed? Agreed. The report on decentralisation prepared by Senator Hanafin has been circulated. Senator Hanafin has asked that consideration of the report be deferred to the next meeting of the committee as he is unavailable today. Is this agreed? Agreed.

We have received correspondence from the Construction Industry Federation and it has been circulated. Is it agreed to note the correspondence? Agreed. ICT Ireland, the association representing the high-tech sector in IBEC, has requested to brief the committee on the computer implemented inventions directive under discussion in Brussels. Is it agreed to invite representation from the body at an early opportunity? Agreed.
