I welcome members of the joint committee and thank them for attending once again. The first matter is the minutes of the meeting of 20 July. With the permission of members, the draft minutes will be held until the next meeting of the committee. The relevant matter is the meeting with Commissioner McCreevy tomorrow morning and the Dublin briefing which all members of the committee have been approved to attend.
The joint committee went into private session at 9.35 a.m. and resumed in public session at 11 a.m.
