Business of Joint Committee

I wish to advise members that they must turn off their mobile telephones while attending the hearings. Active mobile telephones interfere with the broadcast system and therefore RTE will have difficulty if telephones are turned on.

Apologies have been received from Senator Denis Landy. We are in public session. Correspondence items 2013/523 to 547 have been circulated to members prior to the meeting. In line with the e-mail I instructed the clerk to issue yesterday, it is agreeable to include conservation of correspondence in the agenda of this meeting. Is that agreed? Agreed.

Regarding environment correspondence, items 2013/533 to 548, all of which concern consideration of the outline heads of the climate action and low carbon development Bill 2013, I propose we include all of these items in our consideration of the outline heads of the climate action and low carbon development Bill. I propose that we note all items of correspondence received and record them individually in the minutes. Is that agreed? Agreed.
