Business of Joint Committee.

The minutes of the meeting of 24 November have been circulated. Are the minutes agreed? Agreed.

An acknowledgment has been received from the Department of the Taoiseach in response to the committee's inquiry relating to the PEACE II programme. It is proposed to note this correspondence. The PEACE II programme involved those groups who came in with regard to cross-Border co-operation. An acknowledgment has been received from Dermot Gallagher, Secretary General of the Department of Foreign Affairs, in response to the committee's inquiries regarding the PEACE II programme. It is proposed to note that also.

There is an invitation, registration form and draft order of business for the 50th Plenary Assembly of the Western European Union, the Inter-parliamentary European Security and Defence Assembly, 29th November to 1 December 2004. It is proposed to note this correspondence.
