It is appropriate for the joint committee to pause for a moment to extend its condolences to the Polish ambassador on the tragic accident that caused the loss of the lives of the President of Poland and his wife, along with many leading political, business and military personnel. I am sure I speak for all the members of the committee when I say we extend our sincere sympathies to the people of Poland on this truly sad occasion.
