I remind members and those in the public gallery to ensure that mobile telephones are switched off completely for the duration of the meeting because they cause interference, even on silent mode, with the recording equipment in the committee rooms. As we have had some evidence of mobile telephone interference in recent times, I appeal to members to adhere to the request. RTE in particular has requested for the purposes of broadcasting any footage that mobile telephones are switched off. It is not possible to broadcast Oireachtas Report or any other television programme if there is interference.
